About the role:

Our client is a compassionate organisation dedicated to providing essential services for individuals and their families in Northeast Wales and border areas who are living with progressive and life-limiting illnesses. They strive to deliver care in the location of the individual’s choice, always within available resources, with the shared goal of enhancing the quality of life for those they serve.

They are looking for a dedicated Cleaning and Facilities operative to join the team on a 4 on 4 off nights basis, working between the hours of 22:00 – 06:00. Some experience is required as detailed below, however full training will be provided for the successful applicant.

Pay Rates:

• Monday – Friday: £10.60 per hour
• Saturday – Sunday: £14.00 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Singing for and managing deliveries
• General maintenance jobs in-house.
• Thoroughly disinfect and sanitise medical equipment, surfaces, and patient rooms.
• Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
• Properly handle and dispose of medical waste according to guidelines.
• Clean and sanitise public areas like waiting rooms, restrooms, and corridors.
• Perform specialised cleaning in critical areas like operating rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in patient and public areas.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is well-maintained and functional.
• Communicate maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
• Keep accurate records of cleaning activities for compliance.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, using PPE as needed.
• Respond to emergency cleaning situations effectively.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
• Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
