About the client:

Our client, located in the heart of Wheaton Aston, Staffordshire, is a dedicated medical practice that is committed to serving the local community. With a focus on providing high-quality healthcare services, they play an essential role in ensuring the well-being of their patients.

They are looking for a skilled Cleaning Operative to join the team from Monday – Friday between the hours of 13:00 – 14:30, however the start and finish times are negotiable for the right person. The total hours for this position are 7.5 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly disinfect and sanitise medical equipment, surfaces, and patient rooms.
• Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
• Properly handle and dispose of medical waste according to guidelines.
• Clean and sanitise public areas like waiting rooms, restrooms, and corridors.
• Perform specialised cleaning in critical areas like operating rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in patient and public areas.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is well-maintained and functional.
• Communicate maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
• Keep accurate records of cleaning activities for compliance.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, using PPE as needed.
• Respond to emergency cleaning situations effectively.
• Collaborate with cleaning and medical staff for a clean environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
• Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
