About the role:

We are hiring a Cleaning Operative for a commercial business in Widnes. The role involves cleaning and maintaining various areas to ensure high hygiene standards are met. Candidates should have previous cleaning experience and knowledge of health and safety protocols. Attention to detail and the ability to work flexible shifts are essential.

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Friday, between the hours of 06:00 – 08:00. This will equate to an average of 10 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly disinfect and sanitise medical equipment and surfaces.
• Communicate maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
• Keep accurate records of cleaning activities for compliance.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, using PPE as needed.
• Respond to emergency cleaning situations effectively.
• Collaborate with cleaning and business staff for a clean environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative in an industrial environment
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
• Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
